A young girl T-boned my 91 Eclipse AWD Turbo. Insurance company likely will total it and I have found a possible replacement. You people are way over my head with some of the things you are talking about but if you have time for a stupid question I have one. I do most of my own engine maintenance replaced my turbo, exhaust manifold, timing belt (and everything else in that 2 inch space. water pump, tensioner, idler, oil seals) valve seals (on engine, head not removed) so I’m not a complete idiot. This possible replacement car has a bunch of mods listed below. What I’m looking for is a car that is good reliable transportation like my old one and not something that I have to tinker with all the time scratching my head. Does all the stuff below look well matched and pretty straight forward or am I going back to my Saab 99 days of spending an hour under the hood every day before going to work.

Not looking for a guarantee but an opinion if this stuff is well matched and straight forward. Appreciate an opinion. Looking forward to surfing here and learning about this stuff. Also if I can keep the original car as a parts car are some of the parts interchangeable between the 91 and 93 ?
Looking forward surfing on this site to learn more about it. Thanks a lot.

That car sounds like it's been modded pretty good which i would think assume that it has been ran a good amount also. So as far as reliability, there is definately a possibility that it can be but i wouldn't bank on it. All the mods look pretty normal except the dual stage boost controller on an awd. And all the parts from your old car will work on that one.

Thanks Chris.. Even run hard might be better than my orig car with double the mileage at 127000..Thanks for the advise and info. I'll check it out well and maybe take the chance. If you come back to this post would the dual stage boost controller pose a problem or is it just a why did he do that..Thanks again

those are just usually used by fwd cars so that the driver can run lower boost through 1st gear to get traction, then back to high boost, you get the picture. with awd there is no need for it, so i think he's saying it's odd why he has that.
