apexi turbo timer keeps counting down over and over

I installed an apexi turbo timer in my 96 tsi and when I turn the car off it will count down then when the count down is over it turns back on and starts all over again.I've installed turbo timers before in these cars and I know for sure the wiring is correct.I actually have two apexi turbo timers.they both do the same,is there something I have to do to it first so it will only count down once and turn off.not over and over again,the car has no motor in it at the moment,if that matters.

I don't know if it matters or not. I don't think it would as long as you have the Ecu powered and ign. I know in my 2g Gst Is hard wired and black/white is ign2 and green black is ign2 . Might want to check that again. And no I just plugged my tt in and it worked. If u have a harness it should be color coated.
Having the ign1 and ign2 backwards will do that I beleve. So try to switch that. Over that it must be the box. DONT forget to take power off! If u don't u have a chance of really messing it up... Hope luck to ya. Hope I helped, that's just about my best on wiring a tt.
