ok guys. i have a 97 gst... here are the mods. has a 16g turbo bigger intercooler piping and front mount. 272 cams.. the guy i bought it from put injectors in it out of a 3000gt(idk y). it has the apexi safc II in it also. well im have a issuse with it running very rich and also random multiple misfire check engine light. and also in second gear when it hits boost it starts to sputter a little then clears out and also does the same thing if ## cruising at like sixty. sometimes making the whole car shake really bad also burns gas realllllly bad. i have changed the plugs and wires and it changed nothing! idk what to do. i need some advice. i want to get it put on the dyno and adjust the safc II but to do so they say its like 95 a hr to daignoise the motor before had and do not wanna pay that much if i can fix it myself. could the safcII be cause the misfire if it not tune properly? what else could it be? also have check for vacumm leaks and havent got anything. but have not check for boost leaks. could a boost leak be the prob? if so how would i check that? im so lost!

or could those injectors be dumping to much fuel??

I would ditch the safc and buy Ecmlink if your gonna take it to the dyno. Check for boost leaks. And check the 02 sensors. Switch those injectors because you might be outrunning your fuel pump and afpr. Your 02 could be causing it to dump fuel.

It wouldn't hurt if those injector really came off a 3000gt. So I would find some 450cc, they are pretty cheap. You should invest in a wideband if you want to tune in your car with the SAFC.

And for your question, I would say yes.

ok awesome! im looking into getting a wideband right now. i would really rather just switch to a standalone and get rid of that safc.. but got a newborn so moneys kinda tight thanks you guys for the help hope this fixes my probs

just a update about this problem.. i ending up having a guy look at my injectors...they are blue in color he said those are the 450s... so i purchased a AEM wideband and we tuned the safcII and the light went off and it runs great.. guy before me feed me a bunch of crap about putting this in and that in when in reality... nothing got changed. just thought id give yall a update. thanks
