that would be because you don't know what a smim is. we aren't talking about intake pipes here92awd6bolt said:how can a intake that has rubber fittings, fit wrong?
Slippi84 said:I finally got my pictures of my engine up in my profile everyone should go take a look I have pictures of the dejon tool smim installed. They seem to fit pretty good to me
92awddsm said:Not knocking you, but why did you cut so many corners? ssautochrome, dejon smim, knockoff tial, f1 flywheel, and doing it with a gt-14 turbo? If you had save just a little more, you could have had a solid, proven, reliable setup. Now, you will probably end up replacing some of the parts I mentioned and wished you hadnt cut corner after it is all said and done.
And the prblem with the dejon smim stated had nothing to do with ease of installation, it was all about bolt hole location on the manifold flange. Any engine part will be easier to install with the engine out.
Slippi84 said:WHat you call cuttin corners I call saving money. I knew someone would come on and say something about ssautochrome as it is the norm for guys that haven't tried the parts. I won't lie more people have bad experiences with XSpower than with other companies but trust me more people have good experiences than people have bad experiences. It's just the pictures like the one with the honda header that snapped right at the collector which everyone has seen has everyone thinkin oh everything xspower makes is crap. If you want to come over and check out this exhaust manifold out and put it on your car and see what happens I will give you my address and you can check it out. I have friends with dnp parts and i'll tell you that the diffrence is no 200-300 dollar diffrence. As for the tail knock off it is the exact same thing the only diffrence is that the clamp is steel and not aluminum like tial. It is no plastic or cheap metal POS. As a matter of fact out of all the parts I have I'm the most worried about the dejon tool smim, because I have heard of people saying they had good experiences with xspower stuff and I know the BOV will be great but I saw the intake manifold test that they did a while back and was not happy with the outcome. I have it now and it's to late as I already tried to sell it but I will find out for myself and others if the outcome is the same as that test. Give me a month or so and I will either have the numbers and times to show you and everyon else that these parts work or I won't simple as that
92awddsm said:I have tried the exhaust manifold. I rewelded a couple of cracks and decided to wrap it afterwards to cover up the crappy look of the welds, Well, evedentlythe wrap worked and held more of the heat in. This excessive heat basically made the manifod crumble to nothing in less than a month. I know this is off topic but still informative to an extent.

For another $500 you could get a garrett t67 that would make alot more power. Why not go with a magnus? Well why not make one? Magnus is not top line, far from it actualy. Dejon tool's intake manifold I was disapointed with flow test but, of course we have no dyno numbers to compare on all the intake manifolds so, we will probably never know will we, which is the best. I know one thing we live and we learn and if I am as disapointed with the power as I am with the installation I will get rid of it and probably make one for half the money. With enouph research and nolage on intake's and futcher plans for the car you can make one that will perform with your own personal setup and that is what really matters.

Turbo Monk3y said:I like how the Dejon Looks and their Options to have the Coil/ignitor brackets installed... I Personally bought the JM Fabricatons SMIM but I have yet to put it on.... I think this will really help me reach a 10 sec ET with 130+mph trap speeds... I'm doing 125-126mph consistently with the stock 1g manifold and 26-27psi I think the Jm with 30psi will give me what im looking for. Only reason why i went with the JM over the Dejon is because it was only 40 dollars more and Their Gains they post on their website are True. Even Jakes- Evil_Eagles car was mentioned on the site and hes a regular here on the forums.. His trap speeds are Crazy!!!
