I was wondering if anyone has swapped a jdm motor into their 2g. And what i should expect when i go to do the swap. thanks for the info

i just did a jdm motor swap on my 2g spyder all i needed is the stock intake manifold and everything else fit perfect,

You should expect a higher price tag with no noticeable power increase over the USDM engine.

Are you talking about a JDM 6-bolt (think 90-92.5 1G's) or JDM 7-bolt (think Evolution III)?

Imported my DSM from Japan, so i was told on tuners that my motor is JDM, I don't know much about that and what the differences are really. My brother owned a GS-T in the states, not much power differences that i noticed. Over the years i have noticed some little differences about my car than others on here. No CC(not installed by factory), nothing on the car is in english(only japanese labels/stickers/etc), taillight turn signals orange/yellow, and other stuff. But mainly I don't think my GS-T is more powerful than a USDM GS-T.

Like tehehodi said,"a 4g63 will always be a 4g63."
