Anyone ever use a ebay xs-power t70? t3 flange ect..... how do they hold up ect? are they as advertised

Most of the guys on Honda-tech.com seem to be having good luck with them. I ordered one of their t4/t61s but was sent a T4/T70 (69.1mm inducer, 90.8mm exducer w/P-trim turbine). Hopefully I'll be able to spool this thing and hopefully it'll hold up.

Their turbo's have good results at low psi. Perfect for Honda cars. Anywhere around 10-12psi they hold up ok. Once people start running 20+ psi the seals start going out very quickly and they start smoking. Within a few thousand miles at least. A turbo is one thing I would never trust off ebay. If anything, buy it off eBay and have it rebuilt by a vendor and you still have a cheap turbo but you will know it is better. Also I would stay away from a T70 turbo for a 2.0L. I wouldn't even get one for a 2.3L. You aren't going to see full spool until around 4500 with 1g compression numbers and you are going to need a pretty nicely built motor like Reese92tsi has in his picture to handle it.

I planned on using it or my drag car only 272 cams ect.... should work out with a small shot of nitrous

On a drag car I wouldn't go with that cheap turbo. I have only heard of disaster with everyone that has tried anything over 25psi. And with that big of a turbo if you run lower psi you might as well have gone with something smaller. Turbo is not a part of the car you wanna go cheap on.

How many times has this been discussed? Nevermind that a particular turbo is in question, please use the search function and type in "ebay turbo" and view the results. The opinions swing both ways, there are plenty that have had blown turbos from the first mile of boost and others (like terbolaser) have ENTIRE ebay kits that work perfectly fine. No need to ask for more information on something that has been discussed a thousand times.

The problem with searching buddy is ####in people like you. I asked if anyone has ever used this turbo... Not well I heard from my gradmas, brother's wife that this turbo is okay??????????? I can read that shit all day long please do not reply to my thread unless you have information I asked about thanks.

P.S 90% of this site is people that go by things they just that they heard or read about, I have been into dsm's 7 years I dont need to be told to go ####ing search. I jsut wanted to know if anyone has ever used this turbo. God damn why did I come back to this forum.

Then search and read what the people that have this turbo have to say. You contracticted yourself. Of course people are going to go by what they read about. When someone posts something about something they bought then that is there for people to search, find and use as credible. If you are going to be buying stuff as big as a turbo off ebay I hate to see what other parts you are going to go cheap on. blcknspo0ln answered your question perfectly. Some people have used XSPower turbo's with no problem. Some have blown up in the first mile. It's a chance you take.

LOL The funny part is I actually tried to refrain from flaming you for being on this site so long and still not know how to search. Did I ever mentioned that I heard or she heard or my grandma heard? The proper answer to your question is found by SEARCHING for eBay related turbo threads and finding the RIGHT people with the RIGHT answers. Sheesh, and people wonder why I don't post on tuners anymore :toobad:

Yeah its hard to be nice when I know I should be since I been here so long. Have you seen the eBay T70 turbo. How do you expect to run IC piping on that thing. Outlet faces the radiator. Definatly made for Honda.

The outlet can be clocked in any direction you want it. All that is involved is loosening 6 bolts and rotating the compressor housing. That doesnt make it suitable for only hondas. And last honda I had needed the outlet clocked down same as my dsm.

As for the ebay turbo, I have no experience with them so I have no comment, good or bad.

???? You can clock the housing to nearly whatever direction you need. Only reason I hate searching this site is because Like i said 90% of the people are retards. Yah ive been registered here along time... Back to the topic. I have seen a few difference t70's on there Ive heard some of them are glued together ect... Didnt know if Xs was related to any of the other junk you find on ebay.... I didnt plan on using this turbo on my build unless it was proven success... and after reading its a gamble....

Basically they aren't put together well. The turbo's are made by XS Power which has had great success with FMIC kits for our cars. There turbo's are sold by ssautochrome and as everyone know's it a toss us with there stuff.

LOL im sorry I look for good deals to save a dollar... Only things I habe bought on ebay were a walbro fuel pump, saved 45 dollars works like a charm, a muffler, saved 50 bucks, oh shit I also bought a gasket kit once I better never drive te car again it must be junk...

go f uck yourself dude...If I had money like you must have I wouldnt have posted asking bout a junk ass turbo

I can refer you to a site where people have built 9 second car, from junkyard builds and diy you ever think outside the box?

Says the man who is building an eBay "race" car. :boring:

not trying to start anything but my car is mainly ebay and dsmtuners classifieds, and im running fairly decent times with the money ive spent. Ebay is the home for broke ass bruddahs like myself. Yes some products are crap and i stay away from it but so far everything ive bought from ebay and tuners has been keeping me going without having to give my left nut for parts.

Now, do us all a favor and find a link/site about a DSMER who has built a 9 second car form junkyard builds and diy parts. I GUARANTEE that you will not find ANYONE faster than 11's that is running some off-brand turbo.

This is way out of topic. Stop lashing out at other DSMers here just because you're getting flamed for wanting to buy an eBay special t70 turbo. Do your own research, use the SEARCH button, PM the seller, look at past feedback of other buyers and e-mail them. I don't think you'll get very far with that crappy attitude of yours here on this board.

I understand about tryin to save a few bucks but why cheap out on the most important thing on a turbocharged car? I could see cutting corners here and there to save money but the turbo isnt something I personally wouldnt cheap out on. What kind of numbers are you trying to make or whats your goal? Obviously your going to be draging the car so there might be a few other turbo options that you could run. Check the tuner classifieds I recently saw a t67 with manifold and downpipe all ready to bolt on

http://www.dsmtuners.com/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=49323&cat=7

This would be a good set up even though its used 1250 aint bad for a tubular manifold turbo and down pipe. Good luck!
