first off i know removing the honeycombs is a bad idea, especially in a 2g mas. Is anyone running a 2g without them succesfully? As i was taking some stuff apart on my new 3kgt mas, the honeycombs got pretty roughed up and i ended up pulling them out. I got the sensor for practically nothing, but i would still like to keep it if there is any possibility of running it on my DD talon.

The honeycombs exist to smooth out the airflow before the measurement is taken. While the car would still run without the honeycombs, it would run poorly and you would be extremely lean. This *can* be compensated for to some extent, but its not worth it. The sensor is junk.

I listened to my idiot friend when i first bought the car that "removing the honeycones" = more hp, car loped like a mofo, so i bought another one off ebay or something for like 20$... anywho, i decided to put it back in a while back and try the "hacked MAF" feature in DSMLink, the car idled even worse with it checked than unchecked.... ehhh its junk i'd say :(
