Ok, heres whats going on, yesturday i just installed a new clutch , pressure plate, and flywheel, so drive the car around, everything is cool, so apparently in the happening of doing all this tearing apart i mistankly fugged my manual bc and set it to like 28psi, so this morning i know i cant beat on the new clutch yet, so i decided to see how my motor is running , so i go into 4th gear and do a full pull through 4th, it jumps to like 25 psi then my motor cuts out, (typically), i wasnt worried about that, so i got it home, took the battery cables off for a few min , reset my bc to 17psi, and i check my oil, its bone dry, so i ad the appropriate amount of oil, so i go back out everything is runnin great till i come to a redlight and i look down and my oil light is flickering on and off, around 750rpm, my oil pressure seems to be good, its around 20 at idle, and goes up to around 85-95 when i step on the throttle 100% for a full 2 seconds, i go home and check my oil to see if i have some seriously wrong , nope my oil is still intact and in new clean condition, so why when my car is idiling at 750-800 is flickers, but if i hit the gas of course it goes away, ???, should i just replace my oil sending unit?, i cant remeber if its ever been replaced..

also another thing, now my a/c doesnt work, heh i think ill be able to figure that out, just wondering if u guys know of any quick solutions or problems that would have occured while taking out the trans. thanx

Like you said, it could just be getting a wacky reading from the stock sending unit. I've seen a few of them fail, either leaving the oil light on all the time or kicking it on and off.

Do you have an aftermarket oil pressure gauge?

Anytime you run your car low on oil you might present some problems. How low on oil were you? If it was bone dry you had to be at least 2 qts. low. And at 25psi I would imagine the combusion chamber was none to cool as well. You might start seeing some blowby soon because of that one pull. But back to the problem, I would check your stock sending unit. Even though I had mine in and dropped to almost 10lbs at idle at time's and the light never came on. You might have other issue's.

Yup, it may vary well be your oil sending unit. Let us know if you find the problem.

On the side note, where abouts Fair Lawn are you around?? I live in Paterson, but I am always in Fair Lawn, because my girl lives there and thats where I work.

ah, i lived near radnor trainstation, but i actually moved, i live in ft myers florida now, and im having a hell of a time retuning my damn car also, heh, anyways, i seem to get decent oil pressure, but its just weird how the damn thing flickers only at low rpm idle,, idk, maybe i should replace the oil sending unit anyways.

You must have an electrical oil pressure gauge if you're talking about a sending unit.
On a stock car, there are 2 wires hooked up down there near your oil filter bracket.
The one on the sending unit is, well.... your oil pressure, and the other wire is for the idiot light, or low oil light.
I'm assuming you mean the low oil light is flickering.
I'm willing to bet the electrical connection is loose and probably dirty at that wire.
I bet if you clean it and make it a little tighter, you'd be fine.

yes the low oil light is flickering, ill give that a try, ill jack my car up in the air for the 100th time today, hehe, and clean up those connectors and tighten em up, that could help ,.., thanx
