Just ordered new struts, and was wondering if theres anyone in the bay who has the right tools. Don't wanna pay for what im capable of doing myself.

You can usually rent them at a parts store. Its possible to do without but I won't say anything about that. It can be very dangerous if you don't know exactly what your doing! Why not remove from the car yourself and take them to a shop and ask them to swap for you quick. Make sure you mark where the strut and spindle are lined up.

I did it before not too hard a job when done in the proper steps, just rent the spring compressor tool from auto-zone or o'rieillys [auto-zone will let you hold on to it longer, but ether tool will work], mark the strut in a few places with a good grease marker, or marker and carefully observe how it all lines up, take photos of it if you can.

And obviously use common sense, and be careful when using the spring compressor tools, wear safety goggles, and mechanic work gloves when using the compressor tool.

Hello. Just for clarification, are the new struts coilover style?
Cheers
Ross

Its a easy job and as stated most autoparts places with rent you the compressor and give you the money back once you return it.

For sure do it yourself and save some $$$
I own 2 pairs of compressors but I've never needed spring compressors for a DSM LOL..🙈. If you've never done struts before it's best to be prepared with a set and like everyone has already stated they can be rented at most auto parts stores.
