Ive heard that its from bad radio installation, anyway when my radio is on,(car is off) it plays fine. But if the engine is running there is a faint High pitched wirring sound that matches with my revs, does anyone know how to fix it?

My money is on what 98spyder said. bad ground. It is probably grounded in a stupid area or the screw/bolt came loose. Find it and ground it a bolt that bolts into the floor. That's where I grounded mina anyways, and I have no noise what-so-ever.

What kind of spark plug wires do you have on the car?

I really don't know how many, i didn't do the installation i bought it like this..

It's not spark plug wires trust me, let not point him in the wrong direction. If your hearing it through the radio its engine noise because of a bad ground. I've been building stereo's 10+ years, this is an easy answer, you have a bad ground at your radio/cd player....

is it the ground behind the head unit or the one on my amp?

I didnt change the connector it looked ok, but i changed it and put one good screw and it seems like it went away a little bit, Im thinking that its partly the ground with the headunit aswell

Are you using an aftermarket amp as well? I was having the alternator noise as well and my amp ground was corroded to hell. Also if you run RCA wires and I think speaker wires near or along the power wire you will get static too.

Perhaps try a better brand or higher quality (shielded and twisted) cables only as long as they need to be to reach the amp.

Oh crap, i think they are running next to the power cord... Ill take a pic tomrrow in the daylight, Ill see what I can do, Yes it is an aftermarket amp. Came with the car when i bought it
