So I have this car which I bought with alot of unknown parts on it, one being a speedo/tach, etc. cluster which are aftermarket they have 2 wires running off of each individual set. the problem is I am wondering if i am missing something because they were unhooked and when I hooked them up they did not light up

So I pulled the cluster out and hookd up a power supply to them and none of them still dont work. now I feel i am missing a key component because if one was out i could understand but all of them. I can take pictures of them but dont know how to post them. they have 2 wires on each I assumed 12+ and 12v- any help would be helpfull thanks

BTW I dont see a name on them to look uo directions online

I used to have a set and if I remember right the each gauge had a connector that went to a box (sounds like your missing this) that was wired to the power source.

do you remember the name of the maker of them it may have a box hidden in the dash I wouldn't recognize it though I will look

I have gauges like that in my car, had a box with an adjustment knob on it. Mine broke so i bypassed it. And the gas gauge and oil press do not work on it. Ebay junk. Cant remember exactly which wires but of coarse one is power and one ground, think i ran mine to a fuse location.

yeah I tried just powering them up with a 12+ and 12v- nothing, I a little research is telling me i need a power invertor hopefully it is hidden in the dash somewhere and i can find it if not I am just gonna put some bulbs where they belong and use it that way.
