Was wondering, if I'm not concerned with the horn or the cruise control, can I just cut the wires and remove the clock spring on my 95 gst auto w/o any repricussions?
Thanks

well the only thing you will get is when u turn the key or start it without the airbag is a airbag light on the cluster and IT WONT GO AWAY!!! unless you take it to a dealerhsip and have them clear it for about 60-80 bucks, or u can remove the bulb in there which is free LOL, but even if they clear it it will pop right back up if no airbag is connected, OH AND EVEN IF YOU DO CONNECT IT after the code has set IT STILL WONT GO AWAY, ha well hopefully you learn from my mistake, and again you cant reset it because its not from the ecu, its on its own airbag module. another special code reader is what u will need, so if you ever do choose to do something related to the airbag you must disconnect the battery wait for a couple of minutes then do your work and make sure all is reconnected and then hookup your batt again to avoid the pain in the azz airbag light.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I'm about to install an aftermarket steering wheel with quick release... what should I do about my SRS light? will the break light be on too??

I did a search about this and came up with something todo with a "air bag dummy tool" but I dont understand what I need or how to get it.

I dont want a SRS or Break light all the time
I also want to try to keep my passangers airbag working and be able to revert to my OEM steering wheel without having to go to the stealership

thanks

Dang, the quick release mechanism was like $370 for the sparco one. How much did you pay for yours?

The nrg quick release is only 120, it has good reviews with only good things said about it

any info on installing the steering wheel and keeping my passanger air bag system working and SRS/Break Lights off??
