Anyone heard of South Dakota?

Hey, I'm just wondering if anyone out there has ever heard of South Dakota, or even better--lives there. I live in Brookings and am looking for people who live nearby to have as wrench buddies and stuff like that. I have had my 96 GS-T for a while, but the tuition payments have been keeping me from doing anything to it. Now I have finally bitten the bullet and taken out a loan for next year, and so as a side affect of that I will have some money this summer to spend on my car and would like to know that there is someone within 2 hours that I can learn from / learn with. And it is always good to make new friends, and have people that I know to meet up with at meets/shows (if there even are any around here). thanx

i used to live in sioux falls and i used to go to SDSU before i moved to phoenix. im in the process of trying to get an AWD 5 speed of my own but they are hard to come by down here. i actually have my dad looking out for me in sioux falls and brookings just in case but no luck so far.

i dont know of any people but i know there are a couple shops in sioux falls that are pretty good. Excessive Auto Sports on East 10th Street and this other place that i cant remember the name of but its down by vally view rd and west 12th street. the second one mainly does car detailing for d(st)ealerships but theres a guy that works there that had a 00 turbo impreza 2.5rs and a 95 awd eclipse. he would be the one to talk to. Excessive has a dyno and all those kind of goodies.

i have a couple friends that used to have 1G dsms but they got out due to reliablity issues. they are now driving 4 door sedans with factory warranties .

hey man, i know where that state your talking about is. i'm from freaking nebraska, i know how you feel. if your ever down here give me a call. and if for some weird a$$ reason i find myself in south dakota i'll stop by or something. you better have some heineken in the fridge though!

we can't be sold to canada! if they want us they need to invade and take us, that way the canadian army will have actually accomplished something.............he he he, , j/k. and thanks for the tip on Excessive, DSMkid. i was wondering if there was anywhere around here that has a dyno. however, i want to learn how to do as many things as i possibly can without having to depend on someone else's shop and pay them for labor and stuff. and sorry guys, i don't turn 21 till the end of december, but if you wanted to help now i could give you and IOU for the beer (also, i'm living at the 'rent's place and they think alcohol is the devil--you can bet they were happy when i got my underage)

Excessive is just full of good information about DSM's. a good place to get the hook up on parts as well they dyno is only FWD but i suppose thats all you need huh?

sorry i dont know anybody with rentals we definatly should get together sometime....the track is like 3 miles east of kearney...a bunch of us are planning on going there on july 3rd and 4th, come on down
