Im not looking to spend more than $150 shipped for a downpipe. I just bought a punishment racing O2 atmospheric dump and was not pleased with their work so their downpipe is not an option. Does anyone really like any of the Ebay downpipes or a downpipe from a manufacturer? I know RnR does great work but I cant spend the money and I really dont want to wait a month or so to get the product. Do you like any of the sponsors downpipes? I know this thread is kinda noobish or juvenile but thanks for any input! -Matt :dsm:

i bought a "megan racing" ebay downpipe thats 3 inches but necks down at both ends. The neckdown at the o2 is ok because it meets to the o2 housing which isnt 3" anyways. The end that meets the catback necks down which sucks, but I am welding in a cutout anyways so it doesnt matter to me but it should matter to other people. It cost me 125 after shipping. Its not on the car yet.

I build my own for around $65(that's a cheap DP) and have been very pleased with it, took some time to fabricate but never had any problems with it.

i got the punishment o2 housing also. what a POS! worst welds ive ever seen. the flanges are nnot flat. the edge of the pipe protrudes thru the flange. lucky for me my friend cleaned it up for me at his machine shop. i will be surprised if this thing fits on the car. there is about a 50% chance that this thing will leak. worst of all it is spray painted and the paint is still tacky. i wonder why the pic on their site doesnt show the splattered welds and warped flanges. anyone else get screwed by them?

Yea I know, People can't even laugh and say "you get what you pay for," with their O2 housing you definetly get alot less than what you pay for. How can they be proud of their work? Anyway, what Ebay downpipes have you guys bought? Any links or Seller names? Thanks for the info. -Matt :dsm:

The MEGAN down pipes are awsome, i love mine, it is flanged like 2.75 at turbo and opens to 3 inches the whole way, very happy with it!

I have a downpipe I bought off of ebay for sale.I bought a complete apexi exhaust for a good deal and do not need this dp.I will let it go for 75 bucks shipped. My email is [email protected] .If anybody is interested let me know. This downpipe eliminates your cat. This dp gave me 16 more ponys and 4 tenths in the 1/8 mile believe it or not.it is for a 2g fwd.later

if punishment racing external dump housing is out of the question. what is the best bang for the buck external dump O2 housing?

I run a punishment racing 2.5" downpipe. However that it may be pressbent it still flows a little bit better than stock and isn't too bad of a price. Bolted right on and hasn't given me any problems.

I have been planning on doing buisness with these guys. I am glad to see that they back up their work. Not to sound stupid, but I kinda feel more comfortable with a smaller companies like these guys and Slowboy. So if you have a problem you can speak with a human being when you call, instead of a long drawn out proccess of e mails and letters ect.
Glad to see you guys on the up and up. At least they re not the type to say piss off about it

badboy- I received a product from them that wasn't the best quality, and I emailed them about it. They replyed to my email the next morning and offered to refund my money and gave me some other options. Like you said, speaking to someone who wants to work with you to solve the problem is really great. Punishment's customer service was top notch. You should give them a shot. -Matt :dsm:
