Are these downpipes with test pipe the same length as the stock downpipe and cat combined? I've have heard both yes and no, but nothing from anyone who actually owns one. I don't want to have to modify my custom cat back...

When exactly did you order yours? I ordered mine about a month ago. But i understand they are very busy guys, and they have to make each exhaust, its not just sitting around waiting for someone to order it.

I personally would go with a new o2 housing and a downpipe seperately. That would be a lot easier to install and plus, if you ever go to a big turbo, you can run an external wastegate with a new o2 housing and won't have to replace the downpipe. Pay more now to save yourself later.

Well this may get this thread closed so I will be as good as possible. When I heard that RNR had a sale I decided to check it out. I saw that there PRODUCT was nice and that is was a great deal. I looked around in threads and forums to see what the deal was with these guys. All I heard was that they will take along time to do what you want. Well I didnt mind as long as a got a nice deal on a good product. I called and asked about how long the wait time is because I had heard that it was about a month or so. The guy on the phone, I am guessing Ryan, said about two weeks "lead time" then it will ship. This term "lead time" has become very annoying to me in hindsight. Cool, what ever, I will expect a month or so. A little over two weeks after paying in full for my exhaust I sent an email to see if I could get a tracking number. I got an email back that said it would go out the beginning of the next week and I will get one then. Sweet, less than a month. NO. Nothing came of it, so I emailed again and got no repsonse, then one more time, then a PM through the board, then a phone call and message. Nothing. All this over about 2 weeks. No I am very mad. Again, the time didnt bother me its the CUSTOMER SERVICE, actually the lack of it that has me pissed. I finally get a PM back that says my exhaust has been shipped, pretty sure. WTF Pretty sure, that not an answer. Who ownes a shop and doesnt know or cant look up something like that. Not to mention I would have had the informatuion requested before answering the PM back. He said to email him at a different address and he would get it for me. I did and heard nothing back. Yesterday I got an email that said it hasnt shipped and that they are waiting for 3" flex sections and that it will go out in the mornning and he will email me a tracking number. Well today no email no nothing.

I have been looking around again and all I hear NOW is nothing but horror stories about them. All I am mad at is the fact that he has lied and avoided me for almost a month. If he would have just told me that they were really busy and that it may take alot of time then I would have been cool with it. Or of he would have just responded to anything I sent and said we are missing parts, or a guy is sick, or I am lazy and don't want to wrok today i would have been cool with it becaseu I was informed. I am not informed and have no exhasut yet he has my money. IMO I think he can barley stay afloat and needs the money up front to cover cost for shit from a month ago. Not to mention that he either doesnt have enough employees to help or he has "to much business" Either way he needs to figure out a way to manage time or quit taking orders he cant fill. I hate to make this post but its the truth and I can back it all up with proof so I want no flames at all.

To answer your question i orderd it 12/18/2003 and have yet to receive it. I will never do any business nor refer people to him ever, for anyreason. I dont care of he gives it away. I say run as far away as possible unless you have a year to get your parts and you want to be lied to.

I can understand why your upset, i hate not being informed. But i did the research on these guys and new going into it that i would wait awhile. So I can only kick myself if i get upset about not having my exhaust. I havent called or emailed them at all yet. And i dont plan to. But from what i heard, once you have your exhaust on, its all worth it in the end :thumb:

Michael, I don't know who you are, but I never avoided emails. We try to get products our fast, but we refuse to rush things out that don't meet the high quality standards. I would rather make customer wait little longer so they will get something they enjoy and our proud to put on their cars, instead of a piece crap parts thrown togther in a rush.

We are slower then I would like, but we are working to get orders out faster. We actually do get a lot of stuff out within our estimated time of 2-3weeks, but soemtimes cases like yours it takes a little longer. Please email me at [email protected] so I can get your full name and tell you exactly what day to expect your Turbo Back.

I can assure you that you will be happy with the system when it gets there. Thanks Ryan Fellows

I responded in an email and hope we can work this out.

Your point is understood, but not valid. Like Michael said, he knew it would be longer than 2-3 weeks, but 2 months is pretty rediculous.

man you have to deal with it. i had the same thing. my exhaust broke so i ordered a o2 elim. i waited a month. Then my car broke. 2 days later what do i see come off the ups truck. a exhaust. but they sent me a cat back exhaust for a 2g. i was like wtf i have a 1g and i ordered a turbo back. so i told ryan and as we were in the process of figuring it out and then i got my turbo back (so i had 2 systems). i emailed him and told him what happened. so i shipped the 2g back. then the visa bill came and they billed me for the normal price. i told him and he tried a charge back but i already paid the bill. so now i am getting verified for a pay pal account so he can send the money. it has been 4 months for this to get worked out and although he has had period where he didn't answer a email for like 2 weeks(most likely b/c he is very busy) he seems determined to get this worked out.
and i give the system a big :thumb:

I'm sorry that you guys are willing to except mediocre service, but I for one am not and dont think others should be expected to either. Thats just rediculous to say "oh well, these things happen." The fact is that most people would be willing to work with a company if they keep the customer informed, but that wasnt the case here. And I'm speaking for myself here, but I have never heard of RNR getting an exhaust system to anyone in a timely manner. So for now they get a :thumbdown :thumbdown

Hey guys, i think we're getting a little off topic here, lets not turn this into a flame RNR post. I think we all know that if we order from RNR, that we're going to have to wait a bit, but that the end result is worth it.

Out of 12 posts, I think 3 might have somewhat answered my question... What is the point of posting something, when you can never get a straight answer? Read the damn rules, NO FLAMING! If you have a problem with a product that someone is asking a question about, don't dirty up their post with your BS. Send it in an email to the vendor, or someone else who cares.:|

I figured you would care because it sounds like you are going to do business with RNR. I just thought you would liek to know what happens in that situation. You obviously dont give a fu(k. so I will quit "messign up your thread" and when I get pics of mine you can hunt me down for the answer to your question. Becasue of this thread I finally got the tracking number for my exhaust and see that it is on its way. So to say that this did nothing is incorrect. I will have my exhaust in a few days and you can then find the answer with facts not guessing bull shit. On the same note you could have just Pm'd an other member with a seperate donw pipe and cat back to answer you question, but I am sure you thougth of that already.

02 elim downpipes suck. you have to remove the whole downpipe if you are doing something like a turbo swap your headgasket or do your oil pan cause you have to remove the whole entire o2 housing/downpipe. it would be much easier to undue 2 bolt from the o2 housing downpipe flange and be done with it. also o2 elim downpipe are harder to get fitted. i have a 3.5" o2 elimdownpipe from RnR racing and it fits horrible. hits the front bar the cross members attach to and it hits the transfer case and hangs to low to the ground. After 3 months of telling me ryan is going to fix it, it still hasnt been fixed. He is busy and other cars are in the shop. in my opinion just save up for a tubular o2 housing later on and get the downpipe now. there arent that much to gain hp wise unless your making pretty decent power already.

I got the 3" O2 elim. exhaust just put on. It sounds great, but I agree about the exhaust not fitting worth a crap. For one thing my hangers were welded on backwards, so they were on the wrong side of the pipe so I had to "customize" some hangers. Those bolts are a pain to get at on the o2 housing too. Mine hangs pretty low where it goes around the transfer case. As far as service though, I got mine when it was on sale for 600, and it came in 2 weeks. I heard that they are expanding now so it is taking them longer. Hope this helps.

hey not to b off topic or anything but if the o2 elim. dp is harder to fit then the regualr 3"dp your gonna go insane. i bought the full 3" turbo back from RNR at the end of last year. Lining up the dp with the housing and the gasket is a real pain. the 3" is so huge that putting the bolts on is also a major pain in the ass. the socket wants to rub up on the side of the dp and turning the bolt is a pain. other then that the setup is sweet. all the hangars matched up and it didnt take that long for me to get mine... about a month.

last If anyone wants special pics let me know befroe this weekend. I will take whatever you want but it going on my car this weekend so then you will be SOL.
