Anyone have a Eclipse GST with a lower drop in the front? Just wondering how it different it was goin from stock or even drop to a lower drop in the front. Traction any better? Affect handeling much? Wheel hop? Looking at rsr springs ith the lower front drop. Thanks.

I am not familiar with the setup you are looking at. Does it specificly drop the front more than the rear?

That said, I did lower the front a little more than the rear. Other than a little less ground clearance, you will notice no other change.

Yes the rsr springs are like 1/2" lower in the front then the rear. Would shift some more weight to the front but wouldn't that affect handeling some?

Yes, depending on your setup and corner weights from the different heights front to back you'll see a difference in handling.

There are a few people that run "stinkbug"... my current (soon to be former) car was purposely setup this way to make the rear a bit more loose to my liking. My GC coilovers have the car about 1/2" higher in the back.

It also seemed to help just a tad with launching on a FWD. Greater preload on the front springs I guess.

This thread should just be shut down now, given the incredible amount of mis-information.

I guess I'll just call RSR and find out why the drop is lowing in the front then in the rear. I'll post back with what I find and how this will affect us FWD guys. I usually get a responce pretty quick from them. BTW their exhausts kick ass, hope the springs are as good of quality.

Instead of saying something utterly useless, why not offer some correct information so that those of us who are interested WILL know?

RSR didn't even email me back, must be some crap springs. I asked them what application their best suited for...no reply
