anyone ever seen this type of external wastegate mount?

I've been looking at a t3/t4 that turbo trix built and it has a cut out on the exhaust side of the turbo itself for an external wastegate. I did some searching and couldn't find anything about this style mount. Seems like it would f -up the exhaust flow inside the turbo. Is this a bad way to mount a wastegate?See pic

uum so i guess no one has ever seen one like this. Hmmm i wonder if thats a bad thing. I just dont know why a professional shop would do this if it's all wrong.

There is always the option of contacting TurboTrix directly and asking them to address your questions?

That picture doesn't show the exhaust side hardly at all, let alone this wastegate mount you speak of. A better picture may allow us to help you out more. If you're talking about just mounting a wastegate directly to the turbo itself, then yes, that will work. That is how internally gated turbo's work...

That's definitely the compressor side we're looking at in the picture, not the turbine side.

Correct...that's just a big compressor outlet.

WRONG that is not the compressor outlet with the rectangle plate on it, that is for an external wastegate(it was capped off for use of internal wastegate).

oh i see now, this is what your talking about. w/ the first pic i thought that was where the turbo mounted to the manifold, but now i see
