any trouble in putting 95 gst motor and ecu into 97 gst?

I want to do this swap... I built my 95 motor and have my ecu chipped for dsmlink is there any difficulty in swapping into a 97 gst? I was reading that the cars have different cam angle sensors? Any tips?

since you have dsmlink, there shouldnt be a problem. just change settings of cas either inverted or not.

im moving my 95 motor also.. i guess what i want to know if my 95 cam angle sensor bolts up? If it does Im thinking I dont need to mess with the cam inversion...

i dont get what you mean? if your moving the whole engine to another car that means your moving the cas with it. just switch the wires bc they are opposite.

The ECU will bolt right in with no problem. Yes, the '95 CAS is different. It's behind the intake cam. The '97 is located on the other side of the head-sort of like the 1g. I used a head off a '95 car for my 6-bolt swap in my '97 and we just went ahead and used a 1g CAS and it "bolted" up just fine, we just had to do some wiring and invert the CAS through DSMLink. Use your '97 CAS. You just may have to splice some wires.

any way i can convert my 95 cas along with my motor into the 97... when you invert the cas the spark plug wires have to be installed in a different order.. i have coil on plug ignition..
