Any tricks on getting the pilot bushing out of the crank? I installed the kiggly plate on backwards, thus the bushing getting stuck in the crank. I tryed to get it out and now its all chewed up from screw drivers and hammer and anything I could find. I now have another kiggly bushing NEW, but need to get the old one out. Is there any type of lub I could use or special tech I need.

Air hammer with proper attachment. It shouldn't take more than one or two quick little pops to get it out. When you are done, since you were beating the shit out of it, you will want to check your crank for endplay.... At least, I would....

x2 dont go crazy with it just angle the tip up a little and a couple zips around it and it should come out, good luck with it i know how it is tryin and tryin and tryin just walk away from it for a day

I had the same problem man.. I used all the same methods and still same problem.. I think to get it out I shoved a socket that just fit in there or a pipe and just wiggle the fu@k out of it.. Or try that and pry to one side and smack it with a hammer then the other side..

I have said this a few times over the years USE WET TOILET PAPER instead of grease and keep packing it in it will slowly push out the bushing from behind. It will work or i will give you 5 bucks.

dont give up and wanna sell your project because of one stubborn peice. im glad you got it out thow. keepin it on the road is the best thing for the dying breed of dsm's

Hook me up with a 6 bolt tentioner so i can do my timing LOL

LOL. No good spare tensioner's laying around. If there was one, it would be on the replacement 6-Bolt I am rebuilding for the Talon. Although, if I fell froggy, I may rebuild my current drives-haft once I finish rebuilding and installing my spare (new carrier bearings, u-joints and cleaned/greased Lobro) and sell it to someone needing a true fix to the shaft "thump", cause the window weld changes it from thump to vibration
