Any place to buy heat shield for 2g mani and o2 housing?

Im replacing my alternator after 5 months and assume the heat cooked it. Im wrapping the down pipe but looking at the o2 housing there is no good way to wrap it and same goes for the manifold.

I know theres one for FP manifold but i havent seen a stock replacement

Look for the steering pump leaking, it's right on top the alternator and is as much a cause for alternator failure as the exhaust heat shield being absent. What do you mean by stock replacement? You can replace a stock 1g lower heat shield with a stock 2G and the same is true for the manifold shield, both purchasable at Jnz or ExtremePsi as awell as at the dealer (unless they are no longer in production) or used in here, I bough one recently.

STM has all the stock lower shielding for a 2g. I ordered mine brand new about a month back so they should still be in stock.

Also I had all FP manifold, turbo housing, 02 housing, and DP ceramic coated by a local shop. I'm so sick of my alternator getting eaten up.

how much modding with a 16g does it take with 02 shield

I'm not sure. On the 1g with the 68HTA (which is a 16g housing) it didn't take any. So I'm assuming it won't take any on the 2g. (used a 2g shield on the 1g)

I just put my old t25 lower heat shield on my s16g with tubular O2 housing. I I just had to clip the corner by the 02 housing. Its only held on by one bolt, but it looks good and not going anywhere.

And if you read more in the reviews you'll see it works well and you're just not to use it on the inside on turbos and it's work good for me. It works on the inside after the turbo also.

Well i have a 1g with 2g 02... not sure how itll work out but may look into it

Got the downpipe wrapped.. now to find the heat shields.. preferably used. Ill probably get them coated as well to stop more heat transfer. If anyone has any leads besides the pricey new ones pm me
