i have a 96 gs eclipse 420a supercharged. i was in the process of taking the engine and tranny out and unhooking all the stuff the previous owner installed and i find this part of the harness wrapped in a bag and tie strapped tight. looks like it went to a computer or something important. it was wrapped up under the computer in front of the tranny tucked up in the other harnesses. any idea what it was for?

oh ok makes sense now. its a 5 speed now. the old owner never mentioned a swap but thats cool. i knew that bag was not factory LOL, i got alot of shit to fix that he rigged up. theres the two smaller red plugs and a big black plug, its all kinda hard to see in the pic

im removing the engine and tranny right now to check out the bottom end and to clean and repaint the engine, anyone done a engine removal on these 420a's? any helpful info that i might not know about these cars? ive removed alot of engines just not this one, i replace tractor trailer engines all the time at my night job so this should not be to bad. i got pretty much everything stripped down now. heres some pics. looks like i gotta remove the exhaust manifold and slave cyclinder then the motor mounts and axles and i can pull it and one of my oldest son helping out, he just started learning about cars LOL, gotta start somewhere
