NIICE GALANT, I wish I had one, that would be the only car id sell my talon for, unless its a newer talon, but anyway Josh, Im telling you that cannot be your pads, I installed them correctly for sure, I can pull the wheel and check them out thurs or friday after 2, thats when Im off of work, but you'd have to come to my house, my cars chillin in my garage for a while. Anyway, I think its that caliper to be honest with you. Also, did you get that fuel pump in?? How about the injectors, and did you tune your car yet?? Oh and jason, we fixed jose's car, it doesnt leak oil or coolant anymore, no more leaks at all.

Yeah, that galants really nice. I'm sure itll be there at speedquest for the bbq.

Yeah, Jose told me. I swear he spent so much money on parts that didn't work or he didn't need. He should of just listened to me in the first place

For example...

Ebay MANDREL BENT polished aluminum piping and couplers $125> Truck hose $45 Clamps $20 Press Bent Piping $30 Hardache and trouble for me $$$$

Brass Fittings $10 SS Braided Feed Line $30> Fittings $15 Brass Oil line $15 leaking line and having to replace it with the braided $$$$

Wow Speedquest looks pretty sick....David, ya, come hang out with us next meet...

Robb--Damn, doesn't sound very good...I get off of school early wed and thursday so I can drive up if your free at the time...I will be free today, tomorrow and thursday, friday-suday I will be gone....
---How can we tell if it's the calipers tho? I mean, we can take off the wheels and maybe spin the tires to hear the noise, but honestly, why would it be the calipers and how would I tell?

I planned to work on the fuel system last weekend, I drove up to see SolidBoostTsi in Round Lake, and we know what we need to do...Next weekend, not this one, I will hopefully drive up there and we will try using some Vice Grips...If nothing budges, then he has the tools to cut off the old line and we will use his flaring tool and some new hard line and just re-do the fitting....The injectors will go in next and then I finally have some use for the safc/logger

Lemme know
-Josh

Haha...Ghetto FabulousROFL

Wow is that a small turbo...T25? Nice evo8 fmic btw;)

Can't wait to see this thing at the next meet...Hopefully you guys didn't forget to install a boost gauge while you were at it?

BTW: What do you mean crimped fuel line? It wouldn't even come loose, it's just as it was before...

Ha, that turbo is off of a T-bird, ya, I never knew that they came turbo'd either, it works, but the car runs a little hot and overheated on him once, he drove it to Waukegan tonight, no hood and only exhaust was the 02 housing, thats it, no downpipe, nothing. The blowoff sounds sick on it, and yes, he bought a boost gauge, I installed it, its a nice gauge, its in his door panel where the vent is. Oh and Josh, Jasons talking about the part of the fuel line from the cover to the fitting, when it was attempted to be removed, it was kinked, remember?? I dont remember how bad, but look down to almost where the cover meets the line, you should see it. I drove my car out to Zion tonight, it didnt blow up, but it doesnt like to see any RPM's 4K and over, the tranny will grind, and the car wines and just makes too much noise, when I pull the tranny, Im just gonna keep it down for a while and replace the motor mounts while Im at it, Im pretty sure thats the crazy vibration I get when I try and hit 4K or above. But other than that, it drives fine, idles fine, and runs fine.

Glad to hear it! On Thursday if your free, I would Definitely drive up there! You can just park your car for the rest of the year if need be, I don't like making people drive places....

Im really hoping we can spin the tire and see if we can find this damn metal to metal contact! I have so much shit going on soon and this is just one problem I thought we fixed along time ago; Where did we go wrong?

Jason, I am gonna try and head over to the Speedquest meet; At least I will know you there...Then, Im gonna hang with the North Beach Meet DSM'rs at the Northside Hooters area before they all cruise over to the club....Then, the day after Speedquest Im cruising over to this Elk Grove Car Show (?) where supposedly there are gonna be a few dsm'rs and evo's so I said 'Im in'....

Lots of Meets and plans so hopefully the mods and tuning will go as planned....Jeez

anywho yeah we should meet soemtime maybe next week or something or maybe we could meet up before the jg meet and cruise there together.

damn, looks like you guys have quite a group.

Yeah, we should definately meet up. Its good to hear there are a lot of tuners from the 847. It seems as if the chi town guys always get to have all the fun. Im sorry, but my dsm doesn't like long drives.

I guess you have quite a group, damn, that Z is sweet, RH drive, how rare is that thing?

yeah its Kris's from GK. I think its a 71 but yeah its damn rare since its RHD. yeah everytime they wanna cruise to chitown yeah its nice and all but i mean gas at $3.26 in the burbs prob even worse in the city and the streets suck and traffic sucks and people always try to pass each other up and peopel get lost but yeah we should meet up. anywho 847 power

Woot Woot 847, ha....Yup, thanks for the pics D, I already signed up on JGTCA and plan on hitting up the next meet, this elk grove high school meet (?), and the speedquest dyno day if I have time....If you wanna cruise down to one of these lemme know b/c I will be around and I always see your car by my school so you can't be that far...

Rob, lemme know what you're up to tomorrow....

yeah man that silver integra is my "go kart" its my DD driving the talon makes me go poor LOL but yeah im at the emissions place everyday but sunday so yeah but im defintiely goin to the next jg meet so we can cruise to that and whoever else is intereted

You work for the emissions place?? Man hook it up with some help, mine will NEVER pass, everythings removed, all the emissions crap is gone.

Ha, Robb I was thinking the same thing....3" Turbo-back, no cat, and soon a lot of fuel mods...Damn Im screwed...>Then again, D runs an RS60 (?), full exhaust, and 780's++; I mean shit, I wouldn't want to get that thing tested either...

So when do you bring the Talon down to the Emissions place...I might stop by sometime and say Hi, but I really wanna do it on a day when you have the 90awd here....

Im down for meeting up, and Im gonna try to make the speedquest thing to, so Jason when are you going?

thanks eric for the fuel rail and i'm glad we could help you out. It's nice to see another DSM in the lake county area...especially one so clean thats never left the family.

Check out the site on changing the capacitors. http://www.tmo.com/howto/ecu1g/caps.htm

...but if it were me, i'd have steve do it. He's has done a countless number of ecu's and has worked miracles. I have heard/seen nothing but good come from his work. He even repaired my ecu when the alternator fried it...but that was back in the day when i was only fwd. Here are his prices... http://simon.chi.il.us/ECU/

steve said:
Did anybody take a look at his ECU to see how bad it was?

steve
i saw the ecu and one of the capacitors was really bad where you could see the sludge all around it. It didn't look like the board was trash, but i'm no expert like you.
