No biggie green, just run on down to ecology as I am very sure they have a hood and front bumper you'll be set as long as your mount bar is not bent.

Ah man green4g63, how did that happen? what was all damaged? I know the hood and bumber are gone. Looks like your fender has a slight crack in it. You gonna use insurance or pay out of pocket? Hope no front mount was in the way, and the rad support is ok. Or if you have the money... Maybe a 97-99 swap is a consideration.

well idk how but my throttle got stuck and since i had to brake super fast, i slammed the brakes faster than i could but the clucth in, so instead of breaking my car went faster! F*%$... i was bearly taking off from a red light, all this happened goin 25 MPH... as soon as i hit the guy my rpms wer bouncing off redline, and i had to give the throttle a kick so it would stop, and it did,...i hit a tahoe with a huge towing hinge, the hinge bearly missed the front mount, but smashed my lights, hood bumper as u guys can see, and went through my bumper and radiator, at the same time the other side of the radiator got pushed back into the wastegate, that also made a hole it in....

but so far i got a hood and rad back in... now im just need to save a little more money to keep fixing her...

here is when the option to do a 97+ front end conversion from certifit is presented! :thumb:

A good shop? DIY and save the money. It doesn't take long at all and is very straightforward.

Ah, well that's very honest and understandable then. I would try clarence brown in Convoy so that they can perform the necessary alignment that is required afterward. Depending on how low you go with springs+struts or coilovers, you may or may not also need adjustable control arms to correct your camber.

It depends on how low you want your car but I'd recomend the Prokit/illumina combo if you don't want to go to a full coilover setup. It it comes down to tools I have all the tools necesary minus the spring compressor but you can always borrow that from autozone.

If you dont mind teaching me the ins and outs, I'm down to pay you if you want a little extra cash on the side LOL. Ill look into those parts too. I just want something decent as the shocks on this car seem gone and I figure if I'm gonna do suspension work may as well lower it now too.

yeah no problem man im always down to help whenever i can, we still need to do gsxofftheline's rear springs maybe we can set something up. If you're looking foe something similar to stock for the struts i think the the tokico blues would be just fine, the illuminas are nice because they're adjustable but they're a bit pricier.

Kantide, I'm willing to help you out bro.. I've done shocks and springs several times... You don't have to pay me... Where in San Diego are you and how far from Chula Vista?

Welcome to the regional forum heh. IMHO, sdrev is the lamest and most useless forum that I've ever seen. I'm surprised that I was even able to sell my t-bolt clamps to another dsm tuner through their classifieds.

Thanks Verge and Frankozz, I live up in mira mesa but I can come down to wherever I need to to get this done. I'm planning on going to buy them sometime next week when I have some time off work. So I'm thinkin I'd like to put em in the weekend after next week, say the 8th or 9th or pretty much any time after that.

OMG verge offererd to help LOL. Yeah im sure he would help look at it and thats about it. The good thing is that all sorts of people roll by alex (verge) house that are willing to give a helping hand. LOL:D Yeah dropping your car is easy. I did all 4 of my cars myself. Alignment is a must. And i recommend the illuminas if cash is on hand also, as i regret not getting them.

ah hahahaha. thats the truth. I haven't laughed about that site in a while. I was one of the first members over there cause the founder Jesse, used to be my friend till he started punking out on me. Basically found out he wasn't a real friend and could never stand up for anything or anyone.:notgood: That site to me is just a damn blog for peoples stupid post saying what dumb things they saw and did that day.ROFLROFL

For all the 2wd's this is an ok dyno shop located in miramar. They are pretty cheap, and have also had a few free dyno days. But this Sunday they are having a dyno competition. The highest powered car gets the pot. Not that anybody i personally know has a race car, but i just wanted to mention that this would be fun just to watch and hang out. Be careful though as I am sure the croud will draw attention to the cops. Sunday starting at 10am

Yeah, I could give two shits about the new wheels on someone's Honda or what lips/ground effects make the car look "faster" :notgood: There are absolutely no technical/advanced discussions. I remember receiving numerous invites when the site first started via Craigslist when I sold many parts.

Where is the closest AWD dyno?
Hey man! As I said earlier, the nearest ones that I'm aware of are in Huntington Beach, Fullerton, Orange County, etc. I have dyno'd at both GT Pro's Dynojet and EDO Performance's Dynapack [twice]. Make sure to call in advanced to set an appointment for whichever location you choose.
