Finally upgraded to 2 piston calipers and stock rotors to keep me on the down low...:sneaky:

Well, since Corey's PM box is full... I'll just say here that im gonna be doing some work on my car today. So hit me up Corey, if you see this post. Im already behind so dont know how much ill get done.:rolleyes:

sorry i never got the message AND i feel even worse because once i finally did get your message i realized that i asked you if you had that spare 1g oil drain the same day you said you were working on your car moe. my bad.

as of now im running into issues with my car... no spark on 2 & 3, so im running on 1 & 4 so my cars a 2g63 :confused: alright, bad joke, but seriously. since i just have a eprom ecu in the trunk (;) thx dan) and the firing order is exactly backwards on a 95 ecu than it is on mine i plug the eprom in. went to start it and i was getting spark on 2 & 3 rather than 1 & 4 so wtf!?!?!?! got on tuners and it saved my life, i guess the cam position sensor (cps) will cause this... who knew? so i jiggled the connector going to it and i had 4 cylinders again! i still need a new one, OH! and my cv axle boot is broke too i noticed so ill be replacing that. if i can't get this stuff fixed there will be no racelegal on friday, at least racing my car... :cry:

hows the SD DSM world for everyone else?

i didn't meet anyone last time thats why i was trying to get something going for friday, i had car troubles last time and ended up getting there around 10 and i think everyone was gone already

hey alex you think you could PM me a link to that ebay auction you were telling me about yesterday? i looked all over and couldn't find it. anyone that knows how to street tune an SAFC come down to racelegal on friday, ive got a project for you. moe, you going to make it to this one or do you have to work friday night again? mike hows that clutch install going big guy?

know what... I do gotta work like always. I did kinda feel like dithcing a day of work to make it there. Still alot of factors involved in that though. With these cool nights coming, i was kinda thinking of taking the starion, but not sure. After all this is gonna be a DSM meet where people are gonna end up flaking out.:rolleyes: Ill porbably post my answer later in the week.
 
Ok if we can convine fwdmaster to go I in as well I wont have my head done this week but I should for the next race.Anyone know wher to buy a cheap helmet?
 
you can rent them for $20.00 at the track. its kind of expensive but if your only going to race once or twice a year then its not a bad deal i guess. craigslist/ebay. you could get yourself a new one from a motorcycle shop, nothing to fancy, for $100 or less though.

id like to say im not going to flake but my cars being a PITA right now... :cry:

What up fellas... Cool to see people going to get together tonight at Qualcomm. Now on to the bad stuff, so any of you guys ever had your car smoke at idle. It started yesterday, begins to smoke after about 5 minutes of idle (sometimes). As soon as you begin driving it it begins to go away, might last like 30 seconds of driving. I read it could be the turbo which i hope it is and not something like my valve seals or head gasket... any ideas? Do you guys know how to do a leak down test? knowing my luck, i should just start shopping for a new engine!:cry:
 
Rolled to Qualcomm early today and saw nobody. Hung out there until about 11 and saw maybe 3 scattered dsm's. A 1G Eclipse GSX (grey) was running hard though!:thumb:

We should try to get something going on a weekend see if more people actually show up, maybe meet in a parking lot somewhere and check out each others cars. I am still to meet and chat it up with some of you dsmers...

About my car:notgood: It is definitely burning oil. If i leave it idling for about 5min. you dont see the smoke because i think it is getting stopped at the cat, but as soon as you give it a little gas white smoke pours out like crazy. Im looking to rebuild a 16G I have and I am going to do a compression test tomorrow. Hopefully it is just the turbo dumping oil and not my actual motor itself.
 
All I can say is I wish I had made it lastnight. My girlfriend recently had her wisdom teeth removed, so I've been nursing her back to health... which is the reason I didn't show last night. but I'm down with SD99GST. So long as its relatively local to all those who want to meet. So I suggest posting what part of San Diego you live in and we could go from there.

weekend meets are just what i been talking about. I think we would get a better turn out. We need opinions on where to meet and maybe times. I dont wanna meet up at any ricer hang out place. If we get enough of us dsm'ers to go, we'll have our own meet. I think the spot needs to have some thing included in it, which would be more inviting to people. Maybe like a fun little luncheon, arcade, bbq, etc...

Hey Moe, do you have a turbo you want to get rid of? Turns out that now that I am having these issue with my car I started reading more, and that 16G turbo that I told you I had bought is a knock-off. So weak. I am going to do a compression test on my car but am hoping that its just the turbo and not my valve seals or anything else. Let me know if you have something or know anyone with maybe a 16g or at least a T25 in good condition for sale.

By the way, thanks for the valve cover, hooked it up:thumb: thats one problem fixed.
 
if you are looking for a t25 gofer has his stock one and depending on how much you are trying to pay i know someone with a 16g for sale
 
I will probably be looking to pay around 300.00 right now, maybe a little more depending on what it is Im getting. Let me know what they want for that 16G. Thank for the help.
