On a side note, I'm glad you still have that GSX Isaiah. Hopefully you'll hang on to her.

I love my car. SEXY and fun to drive the thought has never crossed my mind to sell her. She is way to good to me.
 
I have had almost every kind of pimped out Honda Acura you can find. GSR, vtec civic you name it. When you by and sell cars like I do you get to drive lots of makes and models some fast some slow.... But out of every car I have come across one stand alone. DSM



I have to agree with Zeekster, Ive had a lot of cars in my day from a 87 Toyota celica, Buick Electra (fast) to NA 3000gt built to 320 HP and the GST beats them all hands down, I do have to say though the 3000gt handled like a dream at high speed corning I'm talking 120-130mph not the grandpa 85-95.

For sure the DSM/VR4 is the best crowd around, but i figure any car with a proven platform must be worth the time. DSM's cant be the only fun car around for cheap but if so i am damn happy to be stuck with my gvr4.....
 
All you people and your honda swaps. For the amount you would pay to do these so called swaps, I could build the stock d16, from a crx, to run low 11's. The stock d16 loves boost, and with a vitara piston and fjt custom length rods, which all together is less than 700.00, the block will handle 500hp. then add a large turbo say a 35r and boost away to the track. still daily driveable. I have seen it happen personally and have helped build these kind of cars. A good friend of mine currently holds the hp and 1/4 record for sohc 1.6l hondas. also held the record for the above piston rod combo in the 1/4.
 

that would be very fun only reason i would not go mirage or colt is because like ed was saying not a good availabilty for parts of course there will be parts but not mass produced like for hondas...

As for the d-series is that what your friend has the 1/4 time on..

like i said i have no real expierience from hondas just what i hear, is the d16 what the 80 civic hatches came with?

d16 is what they all come stock with from 90-95 i think..
i only mentiones the honda thing because i saw that for 1000 bucks you can rebuil the compleate suspention to near race spec... then a decent engine in kris's case he would build a monster sleeper d16 for another 1000. you got a mean as go kart.
umlike some of us thats just out turbo set up's.
dsm's are still the big dog's

Lol. wish i could go but i dont get paid until tomorrow morning, and then im dropping the VR4 off to Kris. Im Gonna be living off of ramen noodles again these next few weeks LOL. life of a DSM'er haha

yeah the only problem with the CRX kris is talking about is that 1. it makes you color blind LOL and 2. it jumped down the track like a bunny rabbit LOL a fast ass bunny rabbit ROFL
