on an engine swap? I am saving up for plans over the summer to go from my 420a to a 4g63t! I originally got the gs because it was what I learned to drive a stick with, now that I got the hang of it I want an even faster motor:thumb: . So I was wondering what parts I needed besides the engine itself? I know a new trans and ecu(I think) anything else?

How old are you? Any fabrication Skills? Welding? Mechanical ability?

Most importantly, do you have money?

If yes to all, proceed to put a 4g63 in your car. If not, either stick w/ the 420a, or buy a turbo DSM.

another post about this. its a bad plan to try to get a 4g63t into a 420a shassis. dont do it. you'll need to cut off your floor and weld in one from a gst or a gsx. its too big of a bother. idk if u knew, but the engines sit backwards, so its a problem with the way the floor is shaped, for the tranny and all to fit. if u want a faster car, get a turbo kit for the 420a motor or sell it and buy one with a 4g63t motor in there and work on that. im not saying its doable, its not worth it is what it is. too much work for something that can be avoided.

17, no, no, no,
yes
I know someone who has the skills to do it. And I have heard sooo many times "its alot easier to buy a gst/gsx" but its not about that its about learning isnt it? what ever happened to that?
