are there any universal fmic that dont require any cutting of the bumper beam or the bumper itself? And does anyone know that dimensions of a fmic core that would fit without the cutting?

I run a EVO 8 FMIC and I did have to get a bit of the bumper cut but it was very little but the cover is clean and intact... and I was able to keep my fogs. Oh you do have to gut the holes where the A/C lines run through a tab bigger but really it was a snap.

the above is the same thing I had to do for a short route install... the advantage is less air to pressurize which is a good thing when worrying about smaller turbos, it'll help the throttle response. I noticed a difference between my long route and my new short route, I'd highly recommend it, even if you have to do some cutting/bending. (the driver side AC is a pain to go around, the passenger side is pretty easy... cutting 2"x2" out of the crash beam kinda sucks.... in the end, worth it).

**EDIT** oh yeah, you have to take off the bumper cover, make sure you use a bunch of WD40/JB80/PENITRATING OIL, let it soak, breaking bolts is annoying... there are about 20 that you have to remove.

I will get pics of the install.. but all I did was pick up a EVO 8 FMIC from a local guy selling his for cheap 80$ and had a friend cut and weld new inlet and outletpipes (stock evo is 2in) we changed it to 2 1/2in. I then had him custom weld up all my pipes and stuff for the short rotue piping. All and all it cost me 250 for the whole thing. Cheap if you ask me and these FMIC cores are provent o make over 400whp!!! Most bang for your buck FMIC I've seen and it lets me keep the Fogs.
