Anti-Lock Light on, Bucking during accel.

Drove the Talon to school today (first time driving it in about a week) car ran fine no issues. On the way home from school about 5 minute into my drive (car was moderatly warm) My anti-lock light flicked on for a spilt second nothing happend. Then at a red light i started to accel and the light came on before 3,500 rpm. The car started to buck pretty hard so i pulled over and the light went away. I drove off and everything was fine. My light will still come on every now and then during accel but no bucking, i noticed that when the light comes on my radio will flicker on and off. Any ideas? me and my dad are going to look over grounds this weekend. Also i replaced my alternator but, that was about 2 years ago along with the battery.

During the 'bucking' do the RPMs change? When changing your alternator did you touch a wrench on it or anything causing it to spark? Have you changed the CV axles recently?

mine did this right before my alternator died it would buck then eventually shut off when the battery wasnt charging anymore, same thing with the flickering lights im not sure if thats your problem but sounds like what happen to mine.

I had one axle break about a year ago and that was the only one i've replaced. i dont know if the rpms changed because as soon as the bucking started i push in the clutch and pulled over.

I didnt touch any wrenches and even then wouldnt the alternator of failed a lot sooner?

Also another symptom, the car doesnt start the first time after a few days of sitting. i just thought that it was normal but i'll just mention that in case. I have to blip the throttle a few times to keep the rpms up for it not to stall.

ok i am still having this problem i thought i had fixed it but it has come back. i found a kinda messy wire and replaced it. the issue didnt happen for a few days but now it is back. It seems as if the car is interupted the blow off valve will sound and the brake will make that sound they do when you first start the car and apply them. (like a fluid pressure being released). check engine light comes on too, its almost as if the cars stalls but starts right back up again because its moving.

hey did you ever fix this problem? My anti lock light started popping up every time i accelerate then my headlights and my dash light gets brighter. But when i slow down and come to a complete stop the anti lock is off and everything gets dimmer again.

Hey sorry I'm just seeing this. I did fix the problem, it turned out to be my neg. battery terminal had a crack in it and when sometimes would vibrate apart. I replaced both terminals and the issue hasn't happened since.
