Well guys I've been lurking around various smoke threads trying to pinpoint my exact problem but still to no avail. Here is my situation: I'm fresh off a professional rebuild, the last one walked. The engine's got about 800 miles on it and I've been babying it still since the rebuild. Well about 100 miles ago I started burning major oil....but it only seemed to happen when I was coming to a stop. No white smoke on idle or anything, its when i'm rolling to a stop sign after driving for a bit and I take it out of gear. BOOM. Smokescreen. It smells like oil and not coolant, and theres no blue tint. I took off my intake pipe and there was a little slick of oil in it and just a dribble on the turbo, but the turbo has no shaft play at all, and the car pulls when I do boost it. Thing is, the car has not really been tuned well yet.....so what i'm wondering is, could it still be the turbo even if theres no shaft play? And could the car not being in tune really cause such an amount of oil being burned? Any ideas?
