I never got a code when mine was in limp mode either. It wont throw one through link because its got nothing to do directly with the ECU. Then again, mine was a 1g, but they still work the same. Just find another TCU, thats the only true fix.

Or you could try replacing the caps on the board. They use the same ones as the ECU. If its not too far gone they can be replaced and should work fine.

i just spent 358 dollars getting the tcu fixed. when i got it back it does the same thing. im ready to burn this car to the ground

There is a fuse in your fuse panel for the TCU. Might wanna check it before shelling out lots of $ on a new TCU. If not that or the TCU then sounds like solenoids are stuck.

So ### did the shop say, since you opened another thread. I bet they told you it is your TCU. I told you the TCU's are hard to be repaired, and even though you had it "repaired" it probably didnt do anything. Maybe if your lucky your TCU is good and its just your pulse generators are bad. The tranny shop should know, they would plug in there computer and while driving they would get a reading or it...if the pulse generators are bad no numbers will spike...it will flat line at 0.

nope the shop told me that there computer wouldnt return any codes. he wanted to pull the tranny and start form there. i dont have more money to keep throwing at this car, so i brought it back home. i forgot about the other thread

Well it depends, was he just using an OBD2 reader? Because if so they do not have all the required tools and instruments. It is a seperate computer/component that shows readings of everything. There is one that plugs into the TCU and while driving to test i believe we plugged it into the OBD2 though, cant remember, still may have been plugged into the TCU, im sure it was.... but my guess is most likely the generators then...

the generators are brand new from the dealer. the first shop i had it at replaced them. i tested them with my ohm meter last night they are fine. im going to test the fuse today after work. until today i never new there was a fuse for it.

ok so i pretty much feel like an idiotnow. i left work early with a handfull of fuses. when i got here i took my test light and checked every fuse. they are lite up my test light on both sides. i said screw it and replaced all them any ways. started the car up and my o/d light worked. took it for a ride around the block the car shifts perfectly!!! i dont no what i did but i like it. now i think i have my mbc on wrong it was hitting 20 psi and i have the controller all the way down. i have it teed into the bov line then to the wastegate.that is correct right? i just want to thank everyone that gave me suggestions.

Good thing you didnt spend all that money on rebuilding that tranny when the problem was a 20 cent fuse. My backup car will blow that fuse everytime I put the shifter in "2" or "1" instead of "D". :banghead:

the car had an aftermarket sunroof in it. the person who put it in ran the power wire to the fuse box and taped that fuse. so thats what was blowing it. i redid the wiring for the sunroof and so far no problems
