Another eBay o2 housing thread...opinions

I was looking at this o2 housing on eBay wondering how good it would be. The welds seem to be alright and the flanges look good a strong with the right bolt pattern for the turbo housing. Anyone bought one of these or am I going to be going out on a limb with this. Not real cracked on the angle that the wastegate comes into the exhaust but other than that it looks good.

I got my o2 housing off of ebay for $150 shipped. It was a nice performance upgrade and allowed me to run as low as 14 psi on my 50 trim. The fitment left much to be desired. The o2 housing was about 2 inches shorter than the the stock cast housing. This means that the flex pipe on the downpipe has to be pushed to some extremes to make it work. Not to big of a deal though.

Also dont expect the piece to look exactly the same. I had to port the inside of my manifold to smooth out some welding material.

That piece may be succeptible to cracking as it is several peices of pipe welded together. If the welding was done by someone inexperienced, cracking could become an issue...

You're going to pay $150.00 for that ''thing'' on that ebay link? Are you serious. It looks like it was made by someone doing a third grade art project. Why don't you just get one from Punishment Racing? I paid $115.00 I believe, Shipped. I never had any problems with it, And it looked nothing like that ''thing'' in the link.

You could go out and make that youself for around 50 bucks, if you have access to a welder.

Forgot to mention that the o2 housing I got off ebay was made by darkside performance...
