The car - 1995 eprom gs-t - Big t28 off wastegate (about 1 bar), dejon street front mount, injen intake, bpr7es plugs (gapped to .028), 1g bov, ebay wastegate dump o2, ebay downpipe, apex'i N1 catback, s-afcII (maf wires not used)

I tems replaced since i got the car (a yearish) but before this problem- new cam angle sensor, maf, timing belt, water pump, synthetic oil religously.

compression is 180, 175, 177, 181. stock block

About two weeks ago, i was driving and noticed that the car actually felt slower when i hit boost then right under boost. when the engine is cold it feels slow even in vacuum, but gets to the aformentioned condition once warm. apparently this isn'T A VERY rare problem because i found many threads with similar titles to mine. Some people said boost leaks, knock sensors, phantom knock, and one was as a spark plug gap issue. the problem is that most people never post what solved their problem so I changed the knock sensor. It was better for about a 10 minute ride but not solved, problem was back when I went to drive again in it's original form. then i got new plugs and gapped them to .028. same thing - temperary fix. then phantom knock - i don't have a logger and my lifters ticked pretty bad (proggresively getting worse recently). After seeing the oil passage difference between mine and the revised version i decided to change them (not as hard as you'd think, vfaq is awesome, done in less than an hour) tick is definately quieter but not completely gone, some people said additives to reduce lifter tick. Others said boost leaks- boost leak tested it from before maf. few small ones, easy fix. still same problem, it's eating away at me and my wallet. if anyone has any suggestions, any help is very appreciated.

thanks-
Nick

check base timing. A lot of no-power probelms are caused by incorrect base timing. Should be an easy check for ya!

Im assuming you checked shaft play and all that when you did the boost leak test eh?
