Hey i have a 90 fwd laser. I had a chattering sound from the trans. So this past weekend i put a brand new oem tob on. It still makes the same sound. Could i have another bad throw out bearing. It seems un likely but i don't know what else it could be. The sound is really bugging me

If you changed the input shaft bearings, then I'm going to assume you did what I'm about to ask correctly but I will ask anyway since it's a somewhat common mistake:

Is the throwout bearing clip on in the right orientation, with the hoop going over the TOB?

Did you use the right shims in the new case after it cracked? maybe the imput shaft is chattering agaist the bearings and when you push the clutch in it pushs it all the way over.

If the noise stops when you push the clutch in than it is the input shaft bearings. I would assume that you didn't shim them right and that they are loose.
