I am new to these forums and I was just hoping for a little help being new to DSM's. I have been having this really annoying vibration that just seemed to pop up out of nowhere. It is a 96 Eclipse N/T and has aftermarket air filter and just replaced fuel filter and reset ECU cause the damn filter was clogged to Sh|t. Any help would be much appreciated.

Be more specific is it a vibration while you are inside the car or outside? When you turn the wheel does the vibration change? Driver or passanger side? Give us as much information as possible to help you.

The vibration only happens at idle and it shakes the steering wheel. It only happens when the car get to Normal operating temp.

the idle itself stays at a steady 750. If i park the car and turn it off and then turn it back on and drive a few feet it stops, but one i start moving again and apply the brakes ate a stop it does this and only seems to do it in drive.

also has new plugs, wires, and motor mounts.

yes it did before i replaced the fuel filter and after installing the new one and resetting the ECU it did get better but it is still there. before intalling the new filter the idle would drop really low because of how dirty it was but that problem is gone, just still vibrates.

If idle is 100% good then it has to be the Motor mounts.
You have to make sure you have good fuel pressure and spark.

What mounts did you put in it?
Also did you replaced all Four?

had one mount that was completely gone and replaced just the bad one. And how would i go about checking fuel pressure?

the bad mount was the front lower mount.

just remembered, I have been hearing a clicking noise coming from the harmonic balancer. Could that be the root of my problem?

I will check into that and will update on the rapairs. Thnx everyone.

took a look at the HB and found that the front crankshaft seal is sticking out behind the harmonic balancer.
