Ok so I drove my car after having it on jacks for a month 40 miles to get an alignment. I parked it outside the shop for maybe ten minutes, tried to start it but it wouldn't turn over. The guy at the shop told me it was the starter.. So I had that replaced. Drove it home. Parked it, tried starting it again tonight but the same thing happened.. I know its not the starter since I had it replaced. Tested my battery and its fine. All my lights come on except for when I try starting my car it just makes this weird buzzing/whining sound. But the engine won't crank over. It will push start fine.. So I was wondering if anyone might have a solution to this problem.. Thanks guys

start with the basics. spark fuel and air.

you said no leads so that leaves spark and fuel.

if the coil pack had a coil go bad or your ignition driver that plugs in right next to the coil pack may have gone. There si a write up in the vfaq or the tech articles on the correct ohms for the primary and secondaries.

check those then move on to fuel.

Am I missing something? The OP said the starter is binding

The starter was just replaced so I'm thinking bolts are loose and starter is just floating around in there

If I hear the words "grinding, binding, and I'm scared it's destroying my engine"... I take that as something mechanically is wrong. I know what the clicking and whirring noise means and when people hear that, they more often are plainly frustrated and not sure what's going on than worried about breaking something. Not trying to argue but symptoms just seem unclear to me I guess

In my short time I've been working on cars I've come to find out how true this is. A video would be nice but a lot of times a video kind of changes the sound of things. OP, if I was in your situation I would see if there were any dsmers in your area and see if they could come listen to it.

Guys... resolved my issue... replaced everything. Battery, starter, ect. And BAM! It worked. Thanks for all the help guys.

Sounds like you just replaced everything that could possible have gone bad
