Well the oem hard fuel line has a HUGE kink in it right beneth the oem fuel filter. I want to get a pipe/AN adapter and run a Earls -6an filter on there somehow, but Earls only list there pipe/AN adapters for 50psi of fuel pressure. Do you guys know of any other companies who make an pipe/AN adapter for a 1G fuel feed line, that could withstand 100psi of fuel pressure? I dont even know the size I presume it would be a 3/8th/-6an adapter I would need, but I could be wrong.

Heres a link to the adapter fitting id need or something similar - Earl's 165106 Earl's Hard-Line AN Tube Fittings

The stock line is 5/16. You can use one of these whey should hold up fine. i use nothing but Earls and JEGS an fittings on my car

They are rated 50 psi maximum for a reason.

You risk fuel leakage if you use them.

Better to use the proper 37 degree flare in combination with a tube nut and sleeve for a higher pressure seal.

Hal the stock flares on the oem fuel lines are 37 degrees or 45 degrees?

What I don't get is this... you are describing a huge kink in your fuel line, something I'm presuming you want to eliminate. However, removing the stock filter and using an adapter to run a new filter won't do anything to fix the pre-filter kink will it?? Or, do you mean it's "before the filter" between the filter and the rail, thus actually making it "after" the fuel filter?

The kink is pre-filter, underneath the screw where it screws into the fuel filter. I took my dremel with cutoff wheel and cut off where the kink was in the fuel line. Now I have a piece of flat fuel line. I think im going to purchase a flaring tool, flare it and put on this piece...then use a -6an fuel filter.

24.99 for that fitting from tunersnation? The same fitting Earls makes for 10.99.

Same thing I said to myself. That's ridiculous double the price? Oh and the metric to -6, which is used when keeping the factory filter, costs the same but I got it for $8 from Earls

you are still going to need a tube nut and tube sleve if you flare it to 37* but if you are flareing it to 45* (what it was flared to stock) and using the original fitting you will be fine.

Thanks Mike, thats the infomation I wanted to know!I got the flare tool from autozone today, going to flare it when earls fittings arrive which should be shortly. Thanks again guys for the help.
