-an fitting FPR needed?????

As knoch said, they seal vvery well and the safety envelope alone from a safe fuel system is worth it. Also, when you go to upgrade in the future it will be much easier to add things to the fuel system, as long as you pick the right AN fitting from the get-go.

To answer your question, no it is not necessary to have AN fittings, there are FPRs available that can tie into your factory system, but they are cheap and not recommended (in my opinion).
 
No, you don't need an -AN FPR. There are a few decent bolt on FPR's out there. Look in the DSM catalog on the tuners homepage and there are a few options. I would stay away from the B&M. I havent heard much about the other ones.
