Hey guys,
My first alternator has bit the dust, and I assume it's because of the extra heat from the new setup. Anyway, I wiggle my way around and inch out nuts and bolts trying to pull the alternator. Every fastener has been removed except for the pivot bolt. The nut came off easy, but I'm having he!! trying to get the bolt out. I've tried using a crowbar to push the bolt out but it doesn't budge, pliers to at the head of the bolt doesn't work...
I know alternators go bad quick on DSM's, so there must be dozens of experts on this by now. How do you guys take the bolt out? or does it cause less of a problem for you guys?
