my car is having a bunch of electrical problems, i've read stuff about how to hunt down shorts and all that works so dont think i havent dont my research what i'm asking is.

Where could the short be and what connects to what to make this work. (i'll explain more)

if i connect the postive going to the alternator fuse (80 amp) it sparks like mad...... BUT if i disconnect my alternator and hook it up my horn wont shut off. Note: that is the only thing connected to my battery.

So where is the horn, what wires does it use, what fuse does it use, where do the wires go after my alternator, wahts really goin on here.

thanks for the help

So if i pull the fuse for anti theft, the horn doesnt go on BUTTTTT all the lights are on in the car AND the open door light is on along with the security light SOOOO ummm yeah (i'm so confsued)

where is all the stuff located for the security system

Note: i also pulled the anti theft relay and same results

Oh this is ugly. I would suggest you leave the Alternator wire (B+) off the back, put tape on it to keep it from shorting. Next for mental stability unplug the horns so you can think. I don't see any relationship between the B+ and the rest of your complaints even if you have a bad short in the Alternator.

However, your headlights, fog, hazard, A/C and several other components are on that circuit. If possible separate these main feeds from the battery to isolate which is activating the horn. You can use a test light connected to one of the horn wires and the other end to ground so you don't keep the neigbours awake.

I've spent a few minutes looking at the schematic and didn't find the horns, they may be tied in with your alarm system which can cause problems along with headlights and flasher.

If you have any more discoveries let us know.

Cheers,
GTM
