So when I moved from North Carolina, I had a shipping company move my GSX for me. Bad move. They tried to jump start my car and reversed the polarity and fried my ECU.

New ECU got here yesterday and it fired up on the first try.

Here's the issue. ALL my AutoMeter gauges give NO INDICATION except for my Boost/Vacuum gauge (Because the reading is PHYSICAL). AND also nothing from my PLX Wideband.

Has anyone had this issue before? Does reversing the polarity of a jump ALSO fry ALL guages???

They DO get power for the backlighting but no indications. The stock gauge cluster DOES work. RPM, Speed and Fuel.

So am I screwed and have to dish out $65 a pop for each?

Another question: My rear O2 sensor doesnt have a smooth voltage swing like it used to. Goes rapidly up and down and almost nothing from my front O2 sensor.

REALLY needing some input on this.

Thanks gents.

How do you know that they messed up? Did the mover(s) tell you? Hang on to the old ECU because it could be used as evidence if you end up taking them to court. Hopefully it won't go that far and they will cover the damages.

You have to prove the car was fine before they moved it , Also because they had to move it while not running that can be a problem on your side to prove ..

It WAS in running condition. That's how it got on the truck in the first place. Long story short, they TOLD me they tried to jump start my car. And I KNOW they f'd it up because of the ECU being fried. I did a reverse polarity diagnostic on the ECU and it was fried due to this.

I DID confront them about this and they told me to piss off because I couldn't PROVE anything.

Whatever, I already got a new EPROM and socketed ECU, and did the chip swap. Runs great.

Now as to my original issue, I did some wire chasing and found a blown in-line 5 amp fuse. Replaced and fixed the issue.

Thank you all for your concern, but I've just come to the conclusion that if I need to move my car great distances, to just it myself.

Had to move a car across this great coutry and hired some "professionals" to move it. While loading our car the "pro" rear-ended another car that was already on the trailer (lower level of 18-wheeler w/car hauler trailer). Luckully he did not cause much damage to our car. After finally strapping the thing down he went on his way. The back of our car was hanging off behind the trailer serving as truck's new rear bumper. Really wanted for that guy to unload the car and get the heck out of here, but he done left. Luckully the car made it to the destination withough any more damages.
Like Erkitner (and many other smart people) said: If you want something well done, do it yourself.
[End rant]

Glad you got the car running good again and the gauges working. Kinda sucks how they treated you.
