Alarm Custom Horn/Siren Modification

Ok. I gave away my siren to a friend when my car was down. So all I have left over on my Viper Alarm is the internal high pitched siren. Which that thing is only good for keeping people out of the interior of the car. I wanted to make something so I could hookup my alarm to my stock horn. This Viper alarm only has the constant 12v power source when alarm is triggered. I know some alarms have a pulsing setup for this exact reason as well as the siren output. I was thinking about using a Light Flasher on the 12v line to get it to pulse, that does not work!

The Horn Trigger wire colors are Gnr/blk for Negative and Grn/wht for Positive. Anyone know of something I can try out? The car has two horns on it, and I don't use the horn anyway. So what can I do?

If you hook a relay and use the light flasher as a signal wire, it should power the horns. Make sure you use a diode so it doesn't go back to the brain. I have fried 2 brains by overloading the siren output, one was WITH a relay.

On another note, I am about to take the stock siren from my Viper 5000 out in the next few days. I'll send it to you if you want, just send me maybe 5 bucks for shipping. I was going to trash it anyways.

Oh no its fine, I could easily get another one. I still do car audio. I just wanted it to be kinda like a stock alarm... but with pager and remote start . Stock horn is 30x louder than an alarm siren. I was thinking a relay also. I have a bunch and tomorrow I'm gonna try that.

Also I'm not going to have the horn hooked up to the car. 1g DSM's have 2 Horns, dunno about 2g's. So I have the driver side horn completely disconnected from the system. One wire is grounded directly to body, the other needs a 12v source...
