Aftermarket electric oil pressure gauge ?

So got my oil pressure gauge ( electric) from glow shift the other day and i went to put the sender in right after taking the old one out and i noticed the new sender has a longer stubb then the other one for screwing in... should i screw it in till it stops or...?

p.s. right now i only have it in as far as the old one and i read 8 psi at idle and 92 at wot 12psi of boost and roughly 6k rpm.

Tighten it in there. You don't want it falling out. Those numbers are probably about right. Your cheaper oil pressure gauge's, Glow Shift, ProSport... tend to have trouble reading oil pressure at idle. I had a Prosport and it always read 5psi at idle but when I put on my Snap-On mechanical gauge it read 24psi at idle. The sending units just aren't very accurate at lower oil pressure. But I would tighten it all the way up so you don't worry about it backing out.

You should actually remote mount it. Jay Racing has a kit for it. The vibrations from the engine are a sender killer. It killed my fuel pressure sender.

+1 for the remote mount. Replacing senders get expensive after a while.

My electronic glowshift one is actually pretty accurate at idle.

My fuel pressure sender crapped out on me. I sent it in to get a new one.
