Aftermarket Oil Pressure gauge??

I have custom dual pillar arounds my instrument cluster and would like to know What After gauge and How do i need to Hook/wire this up as my stock gauge no longer works

P.S. I JUST REBUILT A 7BOLT AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW OIL PRESSURE ON INTIAL START UP

Pretty much any oil pressure gauge you buy will come with instructions.

I know Prosports do, and they are nice gauges.

yeah but cause im new to wiring in a way ... i need help with some with a "write up ### i know if all it is ...is oil pressure gauge with one wire going to the sender unit or the other unit as dsmr's know there is one for the gauge and one for the light

Well, you can run an electric oil pressure gauge which will have a sender that you have to thread into the OFH and then run wires into the cabin to connect to the gauge. OR, a manual gauge where you thread an oil line into the OFH and then run the line into the vehicle and into the back of the gauge. I have the same gauge pod that you do(around the stock cluster) and there isn't much room in there for anything except electronic gauges.

I bought some glowshift gauges... major rice, but read around and they're pretty accurate from what I read and have seen so far. I'm still waiting for the oil filter sandwich adapter because I didn't order one when I bought them, but it seems to be a pretty easy install without having to drill and tap into the engine. They're pretty cheap too and come with good instructions just in case you are completely electrically retarded.

i have the same gauges but it just came with a long purple wire where do i connect it to?

seems that i've read that you connect the sender where the stock one usually is, and run that wire up... then the other wire for the lighting you need to tap into a power source for. some guys run it off their cig lighter, some guys tap into their dimmer switch. you can do a search for "gauge install" and you should come up with something more in depth. when you go to search, make sure you choose "titles only" in the drop down menu, it'll bring up more specific posts.

i have the same gauges but it just came with a long purple wire where do i connect it to?

the gauge should have come with a sending unit... unfortunately it doesn't fit where the stock unit does, it's too small... I got a sandwich adapter for the oil filter, but it's too thick so I need to find a shorter filter.

i ran mine into OFH but most senders are NPT 1/8 thread and the on a dsm it is BPU 1/8 thread if i remeber so i got a adapted then it threaded right in

Since were on the subject, I'm also rebuilding my 7 bolt and I'm about to put the engine in next week. What should my oil pressure be at when I first start it up? I still have my balance shafts in if that matters.
