2G Aftermarket cooling fan not turning on

Hey guys, hopefully someone can shed some light on my problem. Car is a 97 talon tsi. I have searched.. but found nothing like my problem. I have a single aftermarket cooling fan. I have wired the hi and low speed circuits to it, But it doesnt engage. Fan works when jumped to power, fan works on both speeds when the relays are grounded (ground side controlled). i have verified connectivity to both ground control wires to ecm (green\black and green\orange). Also have verified connectivity of both wires from the coolant temp sensor to ecm (black and black\white). Any ideas would be helpfull.

Having verified your connections are good and that your grounds are good, the next step I would take is to put the coolant temp sensor that controls the fan into a can of water and then heat the can with a torch and see what the fan does. (You could also check the resistance across the sensor to verify the sensor is good). No love? Try a new sensor and repeat. No love? Check voltage and resistance at your various points to see if you have electrical resistance preventing the relays from actuating, or if the ECU isn't sending a signal.

Not much it can be aside from a bad fan, bad relay, bad sensor, bad ECU, bad ground, or bad wiring/connection. ... or no water in the system...

should have mentioned in the original post, temp sensor is brand new. will have to try the can of water trick.. thanks

Yes I did, in my case it was the ecm. Sent it out and had the ecm repaired
