Do they make aftermarket camshafts for 2G N/T eclipses? I see the adjustable cam gears, but what about the camshafts?

I would suggest the Crower 2s. You can pretty much get whatever specs you want from Crower if you're willing to shell out, but aside from the turbo3s (which I have yet to see), there really isn't any need. Anything more aggressive than a Crane 0010 or Crower 1 and you will need to step up to some PTC lifters and followers along with springs and retainers to prevent floating a valve.Ard184 said:What would be a good set if I wanted them for the street and track?
dr1665 said:Another thing to consider when shopping higher end cams, is that you will have a hard time idling with them unless you have a means to pull some fuel. You'll want something like a SAFC, AFX ECU (if you're a 97 MTX), eManage or MSnS. You can always manually raise your idle to 1200 or so too.

I actually just got the SAFC installed the other day, which caused a huge diffrence in my car's performance. Its a 99 and its a manual too. Lets say I am going with the Crower 2s, what are the exact labels I should be looking for like item number dealie things. Sorry, a little out of it, its late and I just got done getting a 2 hour tattoo done one me.
Only one way to find out. DYNO. I plan on setting my rev limter to 9000rpm and seeing where I make peak HP in NA trim on the dyno. Engine really comes alive around 4000rpm and still feels like she's pulling at 7800 when I hit the AFX/R limiter.DSM-ZERO said:alot of these cams SAY there power band tops out at 7200rpm is that true or is there a set out there that will continue to make power past that..
You aren't looking very hard, then. There is a Crane 0018 available, but I've heard of crazy Neon owners running "22s" and "24s." I can only imagine. Also, lift/duration is based on a handful of different factors which are different between vendors. Crane and Crower do not necessarily measure their cams the same way. I belive my Crower 2s are advertised at something near 247, but general consensus is that Crower 2s are more aggressive than Crane 0016 but a hair below the 0018.DSM-ZERO said:also the highest that I have seen is 250/250 crane #0016. ... anything out there higher????

research done
CROWER 3's
254/254
lobe.....................N/A
lift.......................350/370
Duration @ .50.....210/210
price...................$439
CRANE 0018
258/258
lobe....................108
lift......................394/394
Duration @ .50.....216/216
price...................$669
all of this info comes straight of the crane and crower web site..... both cam sets require higher spring & TI retainers
at this poit it looks like the CRANE 0018 cams are VERY nasty cams..
What do you guys think???????
DSM-ZERO said:a crane 16 intake and 12 exhaust
