affect on top end for 2.3l stroker

OK, so after two years of money issues including but limited to thinking of selling and/or junking my two busted DSM's, my brother in law has decided to help me out a little and get my 93 Eclipse GSX into running condition.

First off I guess I'll state my goals for the car. I'm looking for something enjoyable on the street, push around in the twisties, not a trailer queen, I'm looking for around 350 to 375 at the wheels

I'm looking at stroker kits for a couple reasons, mainly for the decreased spool time, and for the low end torque they provide, but was wondering if the top end was affected? and also if a more aggressive cam set-up would be required or beneficial?

I should also state that these are long term goals as well, and other modifications are planned, such as a front mount intercooler, and a possible upgrade to a gt30r, as well as a complete overhaul over the fall and winter months

What do you mean by affected? more aggresive cams are a plus and they will help u reach your goals easier.
 
I was wondering if the gains in torque and horsepower leveled off at all, or continued through the rev range?
I'm looking to build an engine with a smooth, streetable, power curve

Not necessarily, you can go to big. Your goal is to make everything match powerband wise. You don't want a T25,288's, and a 2G Intake.

A stroker with 272/280's. 350hp is cutting yourself short though for sure.

Stroker with supporting mods like such should net 350+

650cc inj. or bigger if going with DSMLink (Which I recommend)

You will see any motor die down at some point as it is an air pump and can only pump out as much as it can pump in. A bigger cam will help make that point higher but the strokers are made to make the power where smaller displacement engines can't. :thumb:
