I have a keydiver chip (mods in profile) for my 550 injectors. My base timing is set at 5*. I get around 10 give or take 5 counts of knock at 11 psi. The only boost leak I have is at the shaft seals (not for long). Could that boost leak cause all that knock at such low boost? What should I look for. Believe me when I say this the car is built properly, with the best parts and all that. It runs very good, drivers excellent, makes no noises. Only recently my ISC went out (last week) and I am going to replace it when I do the shaft seals this weekend.
My main question is, do DSMs run well by themselves or do they need an afc/maft once you start tinkering with the car, even if you have a chip??
Are 1g timing maps the same as 2g timing maps? Could 5* base be too much? What should I look for here???
