Here is video review of a Interceptor AeroForce Scan Gauge that I recently got from aeroforcetech.com
This is a Single Mitsubishi ISOi series gauge.
I dont have a gauge pod to put the gauge in yet. I will be buying a lotek gauge pod soon.
Let me say first that the customer service with this company is outstanding.
They answered all of my questions very promptly, and made sure that I was happy with the product. They answered all of my emails and communicated thru thier online forum. They even let me try it before I bought it. I did not pay anything up front. If I liked the gauge I could keep it and pay the amount or if I didnt like it I could have sent it back. Very great people to deal with.
On to the gauge itself.
The gauge is high quality made, strong plastics. I have no problems reading the LCD screen in the night time or daylight.
All the parameters that were functional seemed to be very acurite.
parameters that worked for me where:
RPM
MPH
Intake Air Temperature (post Intercooler)
Ambient Air Temperature (pre Intercooler)
Engine Coolant Temperature
Battery Voltage
Injector Pulse Width in msec.
Injector Duty Cycle (%)
MAS Rate into engine
Long Term Fuel Trim
TPS volts
Crank angle
VVT angle
Short Term Fuel Trim
Barometric Pressure
Ignition Advance
Fuel Status (open/closed loop)
Throttle Position Percentage
Calculated Net Horsepower
Engine Run Time
Engine Load
Fuel economy (instantaneous and average)- Very usefull. I average 28mpg
The boost and MAP functions did not work and caused the gauge to malfunction.
I believe I would need a 2 and 3.5 bar MAP and 100 psig boost sensor kit for this function to work. (found here)
Other than that little snag everything else about the gauge functions and performances very well.
It is a great guage to own and I think any car enthusiast must have one. I mean it tells you so many vital perimeters of the car, it's like having 27 guages in one! Its a really great product.
If you have any questions about anything on this product I would be more than happy to answer them or you can contact Aerforcetech directly at Aeroforcetech.com
