Hooked up the gauge and Im getting my power and ground from the cigerette lighter. Everything powers up. I hooked up the sensor to test it but the gauge just reads 14.8 and dosent move. When I shake the sensor I hear a rattle inside of it. Is this normal or did something com loose from the inside?

Thats definitely NOT normal, my UEGO doesn't rattle when shaken. When the gauge is stuck at 14.7 ~ 14.8:1 usually it means the wire connections aren't good. Go over your connections, the (2) at the back of the gauge and the (1) from the sensor and make sure they are TIGHT. Usually if the o2 sensor goes bad it will show a "---" reading on the display but they have been known to lock the gauge at 14.7:1 also. If you check the connections and they are good I'd replace the sensor (if you bought the gauge used) and see if that fixes the problem. It may be a current issue. The power wire that feeds the cig. lighter is small, if the sensor doesn't get enough power it won't warm up and won't read anything but high 14s. Try wiring it to the batt just to test it.

I've ran mine off the power wire to the cigarette lighter for over a year without issues, 12V is 12V, if the gauge is displaying a value its getting the power it needs.
