1G aem wideband install without tuning software

Alright trying to see if I can clear some crap up .

I want to install my aem wideband this weekend, I already have a bung in my exhaust that I did when I straight piped it. Now, I don't have tuning software, but I do have a pocket logger. When I wire in the wideband do I just connect the red wire to 12v ignition power source, and black wire to chassis ground and that's it? I know the blue wire doesn't get used, and the white wire is only if you have ecmlink correct? Or can I use the white wire for my pocket logger until I get link?

You are correct, for the gauge to work red wire to power and black to chassis ground. As far as logging wideband with a pocket logger, I cannot comment on that.
